TryLight opens A Christmas Carol: A live radio play

TryLight Theatre is hitting the stage with its newest production.

A Christmas Carol: A live radio play held a couple of matinees over the weekend, followed by evening shows all this week.

Kerry-Dell Robertson is one of the cast members and says old fashioned radio has special challenges.

“There was no ‘tech’ back then, other than broadcasting on the radio, so any sound effects that had to happen, were with the Foley artist, which is the part I’m playing in this and that meant old fashioned sound effects,” says Robertson.

Fred Richardson is also one of the cast members and says there is a cast of ten, and several people play multiple roles, but he’s not one of them.

“I’m the only one that has only one role to play and I’m THE Ebenezer Scrooge.”

The play will run in the basement of First Baptist Church from Tuesday until Saturday at 8 pm.

There is also a livestream option.
