Two arrested in Dryden in drug bust

Two people face drug charges after a traffic stop in the City of Dryden last week.

Last Tueday around 2:30 in the afternoon police say they pulled over a vehicle and seized cocaine, fentanyl, Canadian currency and other evidence of drug trafficking.

A 40 year old from Dryden and a 40 year old from Thunder Bay face two trafficking charges as well as a charge of possessing proceeds of crime under five thousand dollars.

The Thunder Bay man also faces additional charges of: ·        

-Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice

-Operation while impaired

-Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

He was remanded into custody pending a court day this past Friday.

The other person has a court date on October 6th to face the charges.
