Two new wildfires in Northwest Ontario on Wednesday

Two new wildfires were spotted by firefighter planes on Wednesday.

The out-of-control Fort Frances 11 is about 3 hectares in size and located 57 kilometres south of Dryden.

Fort Frances 10 was spotted at 3 kilometres squared in size and about 30 kilometres south of Ignace.

There are currently 15 active fires in the Northwestern region.

Seven are out of control, one is being held, and five are under control.

The largest fire in the region, Red Lake 12, has grown about 5,000 hectares to around 65,000 hectares.
