A section of Highway 17 through northwestern Ontario has reopened following an earlier closure.
The highway was shut down between Highway 71 and Vermilion Bay at around 2 a.m. CT on Monday.
Officials with the Ministry of Transportation said the closure was due to poor road and weather conditions.
There was also a jackknifed transport truck reported at distance marker 126.
The closed section of highway reopened to vehicles just before 6 a.m. CT.
