UPDATE: Rogers wins gold in women’s hammer throw at Paris Games

Another gold in hammer throw for Canada at the Paris Olympics.

Camryn Rogers easily had the best throw at the competition Tuesday to claim gold.

Her teammate Ethan Katzberg won gold in the sport.

Canada now has 18 medals, including six gold.

Meanwhile, no medal for Canada in men’s basketball.

Our nation lost to France 82-73 in the quarterfinals, who will advance to the semis against Germany.

Savannah Sutherland made the 400m hurdles final.

Christopher Morales-Williams was just short of qualifying for the men’s 400 metre final.

Olympic champion in the 200 metre Andre De Grasse will race alongside two other teammates in Wednesday’s semi-final.

Sprinters Aaron Brown and Brendon Rodney advanced to make it three Canadian’s vying to compete in the final.
