Water levels on Lake of the Woods increasing

The Lake of the Woods Control Board has authorized a couple of increases in outflow from the Norman Dam.

One was yesterday and the other will be on Monday.

This as water levels on Lake of the Woods are starting to go up.

The lake rose about 10 centimeters in the past week, and is expected to go up and one to four centimeters in the next seven days, depending an the amount of rain we get.

The control board as a result of increase in outflows, the Winnipeg River below the Norman Dam will go up about 4 centimeters below the dam and only one centimeter at the Dalles.
