Fort Frances fires come under control, Dryden fire still burning

Most of the 20 forest fires that spread over the long weekend have been extinguished, but five still burned on Monday evening.

According to Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources, there are currently four fires in the Fort Frances area still burning, though all are deemed “under control.”

Meanwhile, a fire dubbed Dryden 11 near Ignace continues to burn out of control.
