It is with heartfelt love and sadness we announce the sudden passing of our Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Uncle and Grandson, Garcia Dwight Mandamin.

Garcia was predeceased by his father Stephen Scott, Grandfather Trevor Newton. Great Grandparents Mary Jane & Cornelius Scott, Hazel & Lloyd Keast, John Hunter & Mary Muckle, Joe Sr & Matilda Mandamin. Auntie Maryann Mandamin & Uncle Keith Scott, Great Aunts & Uncles: Maurice Jr, Josephine Wesley, Christine, Doris, Joe Mandamin Jr, Emma Paishk, Valerie, Rhonda, Deborah, Jessie, Geraldine Scott. Linda & Jack Kent, Linda Muckle & Jim Scott.

Garcia leaves to mourn his passing: Mother Bonnie Mandamin, Son: Mason Kent, Partner: Selana Scott & baby, Siblings: Ramsey, Marcia, Natasha & Tammy. Grandparents: Phillip Kent & Gladys Mandamin, Sandra Scott & Tom Land. Nephews: Jensen, Leroy, Lorenzo & Lucas, Nieces: Hailey, Ashton, Abigail. Great Uncles: Ronnie Mandamin Sr, Roger, Brian McDonald. Great Aunties: Kathy Prouty, Lorraine, Caroline, Marilyn McDonald, Rosemary Kakegamic, Emily, Mary Jane, Joyce Scott. Uncles: Joey (Christine), Philip (Laura), Kevin (Julia). Aunties: Cynthia (Mark), Karyn (Albert). Cousins: Heather, Tristen, Kristen, Jasper, Byron, Charlie, Alexi, Cherise, Jojo, Kaleigh, Jessie, Hannah, Ashley. Many other relatives too many to mention.

Garcia was an athletic young man who loved the game of hockey, volleyball and baseball. Garcia grew up in the community of Wabaseemoong, raised by his Kookum & Shoomis whom he called Mom & Dad. Garcia enjoyed travelling and playing hockey when he could. Garcia was a member of the Wabaseemoong Falcon’s Men’s Hockey Team (#9), and Wabaseemoong Junior Falcon’s (#21), In his junior years he played hockey with the Seaforth Generals (#21) in Southern Ontario.

Garcia’s best friends whom he grew up with Ryver, Skylar, Redhawk and Marty.

Pallbearers will be Skylar, Redhawk, Ryver, Marty, Tristen, Jasper, Craig, Charlie.

The family would like to extend gratitude and express their appreciation to Clara, Traci, Phyllis & Audrey Mandamin, Colleen, Wanda & Patrick Paishk, Elaine McDonald, Denise Moose, Shania Nelson, Cynthia Cameron-Swain, OPP, Browns Funeral Home, WCWA, Chief & Council for their Love & Support through this difficult time.

Traditional Wake and Funeral Services will be conducted at the Whitedog WCWA Building with the wake beginning Thursday June 4, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with the Traditional Funeral Service being held on Saturday June 6, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Whitedog Cemetery.
