Almost every community in northwestern Ontario is doing something special for Canada Day.
The City of Dryden is no different.
Jason Boyer is the manager of Community Services and during the day, Canada Day activities will be stationed in the downtown area.
“The events are planned for Cooper Park again this year, with the fireworks down at Flat Rock,” says Boyer.
“So, we hope to see a lot of the residents out. We had a banner year last year and we hope to continue that and help us celebrate those activities and our country.”
Boyer says the fireworks will begin at dusk.
“With the fireworks being down at Flat Rock we ask the residents to refrain from going on the golf course and staying in the parking lot and parking areas. We will have staff down there monitoring as well.”
There’s also the Lucky Ducky Race at 2 pm at Cooper Park.
