Annette Keewatin passed away peacefully on the early morning of April 15th, 2026, at the age of 48. She was from Grassy Narrows.

She survived by her daughters, (Alanda, Elicka, Shakira, Sierra, Georgette), grandbabies (Cheyanne, Noah, Sakarii Cole), her brothers (Blaine, Ernest, Renas, Patrick), nieces and nephews (Jasmine, Cj, Caleb, Ava), aunties and uncles (Eddie, Eric) and cousins (Desmond, Dino, Nina, Diana) and many friends and family to many too mention.

She was predeceased by her parents (Emily and Irene), her sister (Sandra), her grandparents (George and Mary).

Annette was a loving mother to 5 beautiful girls she would call her “little tribe” and a very loving Kookum to her three grand babies.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and enjoyed playing Texas Holdem with her close friends.

She loved to go for long car rides and listening to music. She also loved to fish and go to powwows. She would always try to keep busy in her own way and was a strong independent woman. She was always willing to help family and friends in need when they needed it with whatever she could offer. She had such a loving and caring personality and will be remembered by many for that.

Wake service will be held at Trapper’s Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation on April 26, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm. Christian Funeral Service will be held at the Trapper’s Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation on April 28, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm with burial to follow.
