It is with deep sorrow that the family of Carys Alaina Pahpasay announce her sudden passing on October 12, 2026, at the age of 21.
Carys is predeceased by her parents Diane Necanapenace and Wesley Pahpasay, grandparents Tony Ashopenace, Darlene Pahpasay and Necanapenace Sr.
Carys is survived by her partner Jesse Swain and her best friend Zach Graham. Siblings Amairris Pahpasay, Elizabeth Copenace, Lucas Necanapenace, and Lukey (Kyro) Necanapenace. Aunts and Uncles Rianne, Robbie, Jamie, Keon Jr, Shelly, Aaron, Tarra, Jerry, Matilda, Albert, Tina, Roxanne, Edward, Cliff, Robert, and Simon. Grandparents Brenda Petiquan, Sherry Petiquan, Pauline Henry, Charlie Petiquan, Paul Petiquan, Linda and Myra Necanapenace. Great Grand Parents Eveleen Petiquan, Susan F., Rita K., Brenda K., and Clara K. Cousins Tyrone, Ashton, Che, Keiyanah, Alora, Skyler, Skyla, Dericah, John Shaylene, Lillian, Serena, Cheyanne, Caidence, Damon, and many family too numerous to mention.
Carys liked her music and going for rides. She also loved her cat greatly. She was artistic with a good sense of humour and a smile that could light up the room.
A Wake Service will be held at Trapper’s Building in Grassy Narrows on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 4:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Trapper’s Building in Grassy Narrows on October 24, 2026 at 10:00 am with burial to follow.
