In the gentle embrace of the northern winds, beneath the broad sky where the eagle soars, the journey of our beloved Jonathon Namaypoke began on August 24, 2025 (39 years old).
The creator blessed parents Sophie Paul and John Namaypoke with a boy born in Kenora on June 21st, 1986. Jonathon would reside in Northwest Angle #33 Dogpaw for most of his life, and it was here that many connections that Jonathon made found their way into the hearts of those who knew him. Jonathon used his skills in body tattooing to earn income, demonstrating his entrepreneurial abilities through his work. Alongside this, his other passion was being on the lake and bringing home the next “Big Fish” story, which his mother was always eager to hear through the precious years of memories that made Jonathon’s life, and particularly the circle of the many relatives and special friends Nigel and Basil Kejick, William Gauthier, and Matthew Tom.
Jonathon leaves behind his children, Jamen and Julian, Jillian, Jady (mother Geneva), Azrael (Mother Lori), and his mother, Sophia, brothers Rowman, Tam, and sister Tanya. Uncles Dave, Conroy, Pete, Robert, Chris, Bobby, and aunts Shelly and Kathy, and other family too numerous to mention.
Predeceased by his father, John Harry, and Casper, Jewels, Greg, and Bradley, and his uncle Francis, and Paul, and other family too numerous to mention.
We would like to thank those who helped comfort and support our family during this difficult time.
Wake service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 beginning at 3:00pm at the Northwest Angle 33 Community Hall. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 20:00am with interment to follow.
