It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our Peter Skyler Desrosiers born March 25th, 1994.
Peter had a quiet, funny sense of humour, always full of funny, outrageous stories when you would meet up with him or he would drop by for a visit with family. He loved cooking and often bragged of his ‘pizza-making’ skills. In his earlier years after having his children he ran his little ‘in-house’ take-out business and sold fries and other fast-food items which provided for his little family.
Unlike most older siblings, Peter was the type of brother who ran errands for his younger siblings instead of it being the other way around. If they asked him to make them juice or a sandwich, he was always willing as he was the brother to look up to and admire for his gentle nature and kindness.
Peter was a loving father who loved his two daughters Sky and Kailey always talking about them. He loved facetiming with his girls making goofy faces and just talking about daily life. Peter talked about how smart his daughters were and would tell us how his girls loved watching Spiderman cartoons with him.
Peter was not into sports too much but did live an active life. When he set his mind to work, Peter was very hard working and had a mind for business. He enjoyed firefighting and enjoyed the time he spent firefighting meeting new people and traveling to new places. He often talked of pursuing a role as a crew boss.
We love you so much Peter and we will miss you dearly. Peter was predeceased by his sister Aleah, his older brother Shayne, both of whom he missed dearly. He was also predeceased by his kokooms Sharon Fobister and Emily Desrosiers, his shoomises Tommy Kelly and Peter Desrosiers (whom he was named after).
Peter is survived by his daughters Sky and Kailey, his two sisters Wabanaang (Ashton), Shanice, his brothers Makwa, Joseph, and Memphis, his mother Rebecca Fobister, his father Elliott Desrosiers, his nephews and nieces, Gii, Bizhew, Dream, Champion, Audrey and Jeremiah. And numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, too numerous to mention.
A wake service will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 12:00pm at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation with burial to follow.
